Introduction — Who am I?
Debug.Log(“Hello World!”)
Hey there, and welcome to my Game Dev/Unity Medium blog!
My name is Frank Warman and I’m from the small town of Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada; just 20 minutes away from Niagara Falls! I graduated Fanshawe College’s Music Industry Arts program in 2018 and I’m currently working as a freelance Audio Engineer at F4 Studios, which is my online music studio you can check out if you’re in need of some music Mixing or Mastering! I’m also a songwriter/musician with my duo Frankie Four and The Goods of Tomorrow, which you can find on all streaming platforms ;)
Recently, with the volatility of the Music Industry and live-music, I’ve decided to make a career change and start learning Game Development/Software Development, which is a passion I’ve always wanted to pursue but never had the time. I chose Unity as my program of choice because it’s becoming more and more versatile, while still being user-friendly.
It’s my hope to document my growth within this blog, and to show potential employers that I’m always learning, excited to take on new projects, and ultimately BE employable in a Game Dev or Unity Software Dev environment.
Some posts will be to show-off what I’ve been learning, and others may be my attempt to fulfill the cycle of knowledge by teaching and explaining a concept/program/etc. precisely and efficiently.
I’m currently enrolled in an Apprenticeship program with GameDevHQ, so you will likely see a lot of posts pertaining to that program. I’m also slowly working my way through the Unity Learn pathways to become officially Unity certified; those will make an appearance as well!
Thanks for joining in. I’m new to writing blog posts so bare with me if they’re not up-to-par with what you’ve read before…I’m sure they will get better in time!
